Boo Gives Back

Our philosophy and mission at Boo is have fun, do good, be rewarded. We intend to live by that motto. A portion of the sale of every book or any other licensed Boo product that generates revenue, will be apportioned and deposited into our Charity, Education and Fun Community Treasure Chest. Each year, one-third of the Community Treasure Chest funds will go to approved Boo charities, one-third will be designated to educational giving back and one-third will be earmarked for fun endeavors to acknowledge our customers.  We believe that it is our corporate responsibility to give back, and we will ask the same of all of our business partners and organizations who wish to be affiliated with Boo.
 
Therefore, Boo Publishing LLC, its affiliates, designees and business partners will contribute to this Community Chest, giving back for the above stated purposes and also to acknowledge “Do-Gooding” in the areas of Charity, Education and Fun.  Making money is a good thing, and giving back to our charities, educational institutions, fans, customers, supporters and friends makes it even better.  In this way, we can ALL make a difference - one person at time!
 
Criteria/Rules:
  • Boo is committed to working with peer-to-peer charities that are geared towards supporting children, families, education and community.
    • Peer-to-peer charities create direct connections between donors and recipients of donations.
    • Peer-to-peer charities are different because they guarantee that if you give even $1.00 to a person, that person will receive exactly $1.00. Contributions from donors are pooled to build up a fund to be given directly to needy persons.
  • Boo will be providing such grants/funds to charities that can ensure direct donations to specified families or children, so that our readers can see the impact of their charitable contributions. Recipients of such grants are encouraged to become part of the Boo community and recognize the readers and children who have helped raise money for them.
  • Grant recipients are also expected to “pass it forward,” and remain in keeping with the charitable sense of community that Boo seeks to foster.
